This is an encouraging post on rekindling the zest for reading books. I'm just starting out myself, just reading for pleasure. I got bored of reading textbooks, research papers, official documents and corporate nonsense for twenty odd years. When I used to read books before that period, I'd never finish because my attention was directed elsewhere. It took a while to find something interesting to read. Now I set up 1 hour early in the morning to read instead of scrolling through social media on the phone.
I started out with The Four Agreements. It was great if you like personal development and getting into mindfulness, meditation, stoicism, and just being happy and grateful with your life.
I actually only read fiction! Because of med school, I refuse and actually don’t have the capacity to read anything educational. I also hate self help books. I wish some libraries were quicker with new titles, though.
I’m reading a book now for the first time in probably 10 years and I will admit, choosing a book over the TV has been hard but I agree with everything you wrote.
Your perspective is always so inspiring, relevant at least to me and enlightening. Keep it coming 💞

I'm glad you enjoyed! Fitting any productive habit into the beginning of your day is a great way to make sure it gets done.
I just went through my own reading slump, but have really gotten back into reading. Do you have any book recs?

Love to hear it! Some of the best lessons and philosophies are depicted through fiction anyway in my opinion.
Happy reading friend!
