What Does It Mean to Be Greater?
It’s not about perfection, status, looking cool, or proving anything to anyone.
It’s about making better choices — especially when the easier option is one tap away.
Being more kind, disciplined, respectful. Going out of your way to help. Choosing something meaningful over empty stimulation. Choosing presence and mindfulness in a time of endless content, algorithms, and division.
Being greater looks different for everyone. It could mean picking up trash that isn’t yours, reading a book instead of doomscrolling, showing up for someone who needs it, creating something instead of just consuming.
Making decisions you’d be proud of — even when no one is watching.
Why This Exists:
Something important changed as the world moved online.
Culture got faster, thinner, more divided. Algorithms replaced instincts. Convenience made every impulse easier to reach. And somewhere along the way, a lot of us started just passing through life instead of actually living it.
Be Greater. exists for the people who know we can do better. The ones who want to be better people and make the world a better place. Because the world keeps lowering its standards, and someone has to push back.
No matter how fast culture moves, we can still choose to be greater.

Garrett Fowler. Born in 1999 — part of the last generation to experience a mostly offline childhood, old enough to remember life before smartphones, young enough to grow up alongside them.
I’m a 5th Degree Taekwondo Master, I embrace Buddhist philosophy, and I started this movement in hopes of influencing culture in a positive direction.
Now I’m a writer trying to make sense of the modern world — exploring how things changed, and how we can change for the better.
